Curriculum Framework (EYFS)
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All Ofsted regulated early years providers must follow the EYFS including child-minders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes.
The EYFS framework supports an integrated approach to early learning and care and sets out the legislation for the delivery of early years’ education in the UK.
Communication & Language
This is a crucial foundation for all academic education. We focus on maximising interaction, story-telling and embedding primary and secondary language through song, music and activities as part of our Talk & Sing pedagogic learning.

Developing our children's sense of space, shapes, volume, time and number formation is key to their numeracy. At Pekes we truly have fun whilst learning through play (songs), cooking classes (weights), outdoor counting, music (rhythm and counting).
Understanding the World
This is where we share our multicultural and immediate communities, understanding the wider world and the people within it. We explore things like stories, myths, art &crafts and cuisine.
Arts & Expressive Design
A full exploration of expression, from drama to performing arts to dance & music, painting, pottery, play-dough and textiles. We encourage our children to create with the media and materials provided, fully exploring their creativity and self-expression.
